It's a bird! It's a plan! It's a... horde of zombies?

Why yes, yes it is. So get out the fake blood and start shredding your Sunday best, because a zombie walk is coming to Dragon Con! Making our way through all host hotels (map below), if you're not with us then you're lunch.

WHAT: Dragon Con Zombie Walk 2009 (sponsored by the Apocalypse Rising Track)
WHO: Any zombie in a tri-hotel radius
WHEN: Friday, September 4, 2009
8:30 PM to 9:30 PM (Give or take a few minutes. Zombies do NOT like speed shambling.)
WHERE: Meet in front of the Capitol Ballroom in the Sheraton (this is where the walk will end
as well, and just in time for Prom!)

NOTE: A group photo will be taken before the Zombie Walk starts. If you would like to be in the photo, showing off all your zombie mojo, please show up no later than 8:20 PM.

Zombie Squad:      Yes, your favorite zombie survivalists are back.  Two years ago, they had a standing room only crowd and a line outside the door.  Don't miss them.  They will have a TWO hour block of time in a large room in the Marriott so we should have plenty of room to accomodate everyone that wants to see them this time. 

Law and Disorder in a Post-Apocalyptic Future:  Some Authors and Film Critics discuss martial law, weapons crack-downs, future weapons, lawlessness, human nature, society deconstruction, and more after a collapse of govt. or other apocalyptic meltdown. 

Game Over, Man:  Game designers talk about apocalyptic and zombie games for PS3, XBOX, and PC games on the market.  They also will explore board and dice games.  Your questions will be fielded.  Ask away!!

S.M. Stirling's World of Emberverse:  He wrote the Dies the Fire trilogy.  EMP Pulse, survivalism, the Protector War, cannibalism, orphaned children, cities reduced to cinders, a return to life without electricity or firearms.  A story of survival. Stirling throws us back into the Middle Ages in fine fashion.  Come hear how and ask your questions.

What is YOUR Apocalypse?:  Does it really mean the end of the entire world?  What about some catastrophic in the lives of every day people?   The woman that lost her job at Chrysler this year then lost her house because she could not pay for it;  the families whose homes were destroyed in major hurricanes; the people whose lives were affected by the floods in the Midwest; Arizona and California wildfire victims.  We all know someone touched by something like this.

The Dragon*Con Apocalypse Rising announces the:

ZOMBIE PROM!!!!


All you zombie hordes out there be prepared to rise again for a Zombie Prom! 
It will be a real rockin' Night of the Living Dead.  :-)  We will crown a Zombie Queen and King. 
Zombies come dressed in your undead best.  After all, who better to start the apocalypse than
the dead? 

Time and Day announced within the next week or two.

The Zombie Walk will take place directly before the Zombie Prom.   Details of the Walk by the end of July so you can prepare your undead best....
